Since 2001, I have co-edited the arts and politics quarterly The Drouth. Every issue tackles a theme in depth, through a range of different contributions and perspectives. Past contributors have included James Kelman, Alasdair Gray, Ciara Phillips, Chris Leslie, Muhammad Idrees Ahmad and Agnes Owens (to pick just a handful).
I contribute an article to most issues – the three below are a some of my more recent, and give a flavour of the eclectic, unorthodox approach that has characterised us over the past 15+ years.
Contemporary Graphic – Comics and Graphic Art (from The Drouth Issue 52)
If Full Stop – Alasdair Gray and Grant Morrison (from The Drouth Issue 46)
WORK AS IF – Alasdair Gray’s Visual Art (from The Drouth Issue 40)
